To Whom It May Concern:
Max Dunn is a candidate for your Sustainable MBA program. I have known Max for almost ten years, both professionally and personally. It is my pleasure to support his admission to your program as I believe Max will be an exemplary representative of the Presidio School when he has completed your program.
I have known Max as an entrepreneur, a corporate leader, a husband, father, community leader and coach. Max has always had a life-long goal of getting an MBA. After starting and running four businesses, and having worked with him in three of them, it was obvious that none of the classic MBA programs were appealing to him. For a man who has always been interested in the planet, the world around him and natural resources, I am pleased he has found your program; it is an excellent fit for his values, interests and commitment to the planet.
Max has always demonstrated a concern for others, the ability of all leaders to motivate staff - and to also work along side of employees as a member of a team with a common goal. He has a unique skill when it comes to understanding technical concepts, whether they relate to software or how electrical engines perform, as well as the ability to distill and explain things so that they are understandable to anyone. In that respect his communication skills are exemplary, for rarely have I known someone as technical and computer literate as Max who can effectively communicate in broader terms about the world - and to generate enthusiasm for the things he holds so dear. Those interests include peak oil, sustainable energy and electric vehicles.
The values and ethics demonstrated in his professional and/or personal life, Max’s ability to articulate and lead initiatives, his ability to organize himself and his projects, along with the support of his wife and family will enable Max to pursue this important goal. I know that he will complete all the coursework and program requirements, enjoy the research and communication about world's most critical environmental, economic and social problems and be an inspiration to other students. These, and the knowledge of what Max values, contribute to my endorsement of Max Dunn for the Presidio Sustainability MBA Program.
Should you have any questions or want additional information, I would be happy to respond.
Sincerely,
Marti Colwell
