Alternative Energy

Lately, I have been doing a lot of research and blogging about global warming, peak oil and electric vehicles. I have also been taking a class called Resource Wars which is a subject that is going to become critically important in the coming years as resource constraints start to become more acute.

MaxWiki

Even after I added a RoR registration system to the Tri-Cities Baseball site, we were still updating the main site using FrontPage. This worked fine, but it meant that only the webmaster could make changes, and we wanted to allow other people to be able to make changes too. I looked at existing wikis but they all looked like wikis, and I wanted one that looked like a web site and could control who could make changes. So I decided to write me own, and that became MaxWiki.

Ruby on Rails

My interest in Ruby on Rails (RoR) stemmed from the work I have been doing for the web site for my son’s baseball club, Tri-Cities Baseball. RoR is a fantastic environment for doing rapid data-base backed web site development. Here is my Ruby on Rails Tutorial.
