This interactive course is designed for the person who would like to create a life vision based on personal or professional goals. Participants will explore who and where they are now, where they want to go next, and how to get there. The Compass Journey blends personal analysis, imagination, and strategic planning in order to help participants determine and achieve their desired future. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to set their vision in motion.

Kathleen Sexton, Learning and Organizational Development Consultant
Kathleen Sexton is a consultant specializing in training, organizational development, and career development. She received an MA in counseling from San Francisco State University and is a nationally certified career counselor. She has worked for Stanford’s Learning and Development department, where she developed the staff career development program COMPASS, as well as the Career Fitness Center in Burlingame and the Career Action Center. Sexton provides organizational development consultation and facilitation on issues such as team building, career development, change management, staffing reductions, and training design.
Jill Klees, Career Development Consultant
Jill Klees received an MA in counseling and psychology from Santa Clara University and has managed a corporate career center. She teaches career-related workshops to Stanford staff and has counseled clients from students entering the world of work to people experiencing transition due to layoff or retirement. Klees also has experience working in various Human Resources capacities and providing leadership development.
