Management

Another series I have enjoyed is Patrick Lencioni’s. He makes the material interesting by first presenting it as a fictional story. The other aspect of his work that I like is that he doesn’t try to invoke a set of complicated principles, but instead focuses on a few simple principles, which are critical to running a successful business.

  • The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive
    by Patrick M. Lencioni
  • The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable
    by Patrick M. Lencioni
  • The Five Temptations of a CEO: A Leadership Fable

Ken Blanchard is the author of the One Minute Manager series—the first business book I read years and years ago. I have discovered some of his other works which have some gems of wisdom too.

  • The One Minute Manager
    by Spencer Johnson
  • Putting the One Minute Manager to Work
by Robert Lorber (Introduction), Kenneth H. Blanchard (Introduction)

Here are some other books relating to management.

  • Don’t Oil the Squeaky Wheel
    by Wolf J. Rinke
