Here are some notes and thoughts on finanical planning software. I used to use Quicken, but now am looking at other options.

• Manually entering checks that you write doesn't work, so it doesn't have good account projections to let you know if you might need to deposit more money in your checking
• Deposits get lumped together so it is hard to go back and search for individual deposits, like all dividend checks from a company.
