Max S. Dunn...when there is a will, there is a way |
||
The world has run out of easy oil and production will no longer be able to keep up with demand. This situation will create a global crisis until we can move to an infrastructure that relies mainly on sustainable energy sources.
Help the world move through its dependence on oil and ease the transition to electric vehicles using sustainable energy sources.
While the world faces many challenges today including overpopulation, poverty and climate change, the most immediate and devastating challenge facing our world today is peak oil.
Peak oil does not mean that we are running out of oil - it simply means that we are no longer able to pull it out of the ground fast enough to supply the rising demand. We are already starting to see the effects of peak oil through skyrocketing prices. However, this is just a taste of things to come where oil prices will continue to climb and, even worse, there will be shortages.
One way to drastically reduce our usage of oil is to move to an electric vehicle infrastructure since car and light truck transportation in the US consumes over 50% of our oil. Electric vehicles have been proven to be reliable and enjoyable, and even with today's limited battery technology, electric vehicles can still fill the majority of our transportation needs.
