Last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I attended the Skip Barber Miata Racing class at Laguna Seca. What a blast! I wanted to do this class because the last time we did a track day at Laguna Seca, I was terrified going into turn 2 which was at the end of the long straightway and down an incline so you could carry a ton of speed into the corner. The class was great and they started out slow teaching the proper line, gearing and braking and gradually increasing the speed. By the end of the class turn 2 was my favorite and I would blast down into it at full throttle, braking extremely hard at the last moment and barely keeping the car under control around the corner. What could be more fun!
